2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

There are a lot of interesting words and phrases in these five verses.  Paul starts out by saying that the word of the Lord may run swiftly (NKJV), or have free course. (KJV)
Than we have the word “unreasonable” men.  That hasn’t changed in our modern world although where I live people are more reasonable toward Christ than other parts of the world and even in the USA.
Next we have the word “establish”. This means to know what we believe, and to stand in it and walk in it.
Next we need to be grounded from the evil one, the devil.
The next word is “confidence”. In this Paul had confidence in these believers that they do, and will do the things they were commanded.
The last word is “direct”. Paul says, “May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.  We need that too!
