Acts 12:1-11
What we could question here is why the Lord allowed this man Herod to kill James and rescue Peter. This tells me that I don’t know all of God’s ways but I must trust Him. All I can say that I hope He is using me the way He wants me. I have known in times past and even now some beautiful Christians who were martyred and could have been greatly used by Him. This tells me that as in James 4:14 that my life is like a vapor that comes for a little while and then vanishes away. Jesus said in John 9:4, “I must work the works of Him (the Father) that sent me and to finish the work.” At 82 I don’t know how long I have to do what I do now. Don’t think tomorrow will be like today. I will let you think about that.
