Acts 14:14-28
Paul in the previous verses by his apostolic authority healed a man who was lame from birth. Now the people wanted to worship them in the name of false gods. They gave them strong rebuke saying they were just men like them. Then Paul proceeded to preach the gospel to them.
How quickly these men changed for when certain Jews came from Antioch they persuaded them to stone Paul and he is left as dead. We see the changeable nature of men. Now worship and then stoning Paul all in a very short period of time.
We are seeing some of the same things in our political situation in our country today. I will not explain it as if you are from the USA you will understand it.
Paul then proceeds to go back where they were commended to report what was done. This is a good procedure in Christ’s church.
