Acts 19:23-41
The devil wanted to stop the work that the Lord was doing in the city of Ephesus. He used a person named Demetrius to stir up the giving of Silversmiths against Paul and there with him. I find it interesting how a false religion can stir up the people as it did there. For two hours they yelled, “Great is Diana of the Ephesians!”
Now God brings in someone to quell the situation. Was this man a Christian? I don’t think so God can move men as He wishes. By the way in a time like we read about I want God on my side. The town clerk was able to still. The crowd and this ends the chapter. In the next chapter Paul moves on.
There is a lesson here for me. In the direst circumstances the Lord can come in and make a change. In order for this to happen we have to be doing something.
