Acts 23:11-22
In the first verses we look at verse 11 where we have a word from the Lord. The phrase is, “The Lord stood by him.” The promise is, “I am sending you to Rome.” It is interesting as we look forward what Paul will have to go through before he gets to Rome. Now no matter what I believe about Paul and the warnings by the Holy Spirit, God is still on the throne and has control.
Then there is a plot of 40 men who plan to ambush and kill Paul. What is striking here is that Paul’s nephew is hearing these men. They probably didn’t pay any attention to him.
All through the rest of Paul’s journey God protected him from harm and being killed. By the same token I feel that He will do the same for me. edit.
