Acts 25:1-12

This man in this chapter Portus Festus seemed to have one purpose in all this.  It was to please the Jews.  Paul was innocent and he would not go to Jerusalem and besides there was an ambush waiting if he consented to go.  He then appealed to Caesar and Festus said, “You appealed to Caesar and unto Caesar you shall go.”
Could this all have been avoided? My answer would be yes.  Paul resisted the voice of the Holy Spirit given by many spiritual men.
Now do I gain anything by all this? I would say yes in two ways.  I must heed warnings by spiritual men. Then second is that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine (teaching) for reproof and instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work.  However I believe Paul wrote this about Old Testament scripture.  I can learn by others mistakes.
