Assurance – The Basis Of Meekness! – 1 Peter 1:1-8
The theme of this book is living in meekness. God calls us to follow Christ’s example of yielding rights and suffering with joy. The basis of trusting God with rights is assurance.
1. Assured Relationship – I am one of God’s elect, chosen in Christ for this place and path in life.
2. Assured Resources – Grace, mercy, hope are promised abundantly from God.
3. Assured Reward – An inheritance that cannot be tarnished or lost.
These assurances strengthen my faith to trust God in the most difficult of circumstances and to do it with joy instead of anger and bitterness.
Walk with the Lord and in His assurance!!!
