Beware Of Leaven! – Mark 8:11-26
Jesus warned the disciples of the “leaven” of the Pharisees. Leaven was a symbol for evil.
1. Unbelief – The Pharisees did not accept Jesus as the Messiah.
2. Hypocrisy – The Pharisees appeared on the outside to be righteous but inwardly they were evil.
3. Temporal Values – The Pharisees were interested in present power and reward by pleasing men rather than eternal reward that comes from pleasing God.
Walk with the Lord and beware of “leaven”!!!
