What is here in our beginning verses today is that all the flesh eating birds are called to a feast of the captain and armies of those that came against Israel and were destroyed on the mountains east of Israel.  My interest is that these carrion birds are called together in the same manner in Revelation 19:17-18.  It is because of the destruction of kings and armies that came against Christ in that chapter.  However  I have never felt that this was the same incident and our story here should happen before Christ comes to reign.
What I do want to say is that God says in verse 21 that  he will set his glory among the nations and that all the nations will see his judgement which he will  exert upon them. This could be at the same time that God the Father said to Jesus Christ the son of David in Psalms 110:1, "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool."  After that we find the call to the carrion eating birds.
After this it is all about peaceful Israel and God's love for them.  Now what is my attitude towards Israel? Is there peace in my heart when I think about God's ancient people?
