I John 4:7-12
In these verses we have the term, “Love is of God.” In this John is very candid in saying, “He who does not love does not know God.” There has to be something that comes out of me that manifests the love of God. The Christian can’t afford to be cantankerous, hateful and hating one another. This is not of God. The phrase, “He who does not love does not know God.” The word known here means a loving relationship. Something like a man and his wife. God is love means God cannot act in hatred like man can.
I must have a new paragraph for the verse about God loving us and sending His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. The word propitiation means satisfy the righteous anger of a just God. This was planned by God before the foundation of the world.
No one has seen God at any time. the only begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father has declared Him as made Him known. If we love we abide in Him and also God abides in us. Now what we need is to get to work and manifest what we already are.
