I Thessalonians 4:9-12

Paul says that he doesn’t have a need to write to them about loving each other (brotherly love). However we are living in a day when church government has come in and now we have Baptists, Lutherans and all sorts of denominations.  However we are taught by God to love one another.  These Thessalonians were doing that, but Paul urges them to increase that love for all believers more and more. Paul also urges them to lead a quiet life and mind their own business.  Much is lost by people that are always worrying about what someone else is doing.  Sometimes it is quite a job to handle my own affairs not to need to worry about someone else.
Next, Paul urges the work ethic.  In those days there were those who claimed the work of the Lord, (some were real) and went from house to house eating their food and not working.  That is not the work ethic Paul preached.
