Isaiah 59:1-2, 12-21

We must never accuse God of having a short hand, or an ear that cannot hear.  If it seems like He is not hearing, it is my fault.  In this case, Israel (actually Judah) was corrupt.  It was their iniquities that kept Him from hearing them.  Where Israel was then, is where our country is today.   Isaiah 5:20 says:  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.  This is where we are in the USA today.  This could cause God to hide His face.

The rest is described beginning in verse 12: transgressions multiplied, judgment is turned away backward, justice standeth afar off.  Then there is this one: truth is fallen in the street.  When God lookied and saw there was no man that could help, His arm brought salvation.  His arm according to Isaiah 52:1 is the Lord Jesus Christ.  Describing Him as putting on righteousness as a breastplate and a helmet of salvation.  The garment of vengeance of course will come later after the work of salvation is done.  The Redeemer coming to Zion will be when He comes in His millennial glory.  Satan seems to have tried to rush that in the temptation of Christ in Luke 4:5-9, but that would have ruined the whole plan.  We are the redeemed of this generation if we have trusted our Lord Jesus and what he has done for us.  Not to leave Israel out, but this is what our Redeemer has done for every believer.
