Jeremiah 1:11-19
Before I start on my verses I would like to point out that Jeremiah 5:1 is possibly one of the most perfect anti abortion verses in the whole Bible. God says to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” This is God speaking to Jeremiah.
Now to go on with our present verses, God asks Jeremiah what he sees and Jeremiah answers that he sees a rod of an almond tree. The almond is one of the earliest trees to bear fruit, almonds. By this God is speaking of swift judgment for Judah. They were ripe for judgment. Then God asks Jeremiah what else he sees. He then says that he sees a seething pot facing the north. God answers that kings of the north , especially Babylon, will come for judgment against Israel. This type of vision came to Habakkuk which made him very sad.
I will stop here to say that God has kept His word then and He will do so now as well. Go to the Bible and find out what he promised. You may be a rebel against God. Rebels are in trouble. I want to be on His right side.
