This is one of the "I AM's" in the book of John.  I don't think I have ever taken time to count.  The phrase "I AM" comes all the way from Exodus 4 when Moses asked God who it was that he should say the Name of the One that sent Him. These "I AM's" identify that Jesus is God.
Jesus goes on to say that individual Christians are the branches.  If Jesus is the vine and we are the branches life should come through us.
There are all kinds of corrections Jesus mentions if we don't bear fruit.  Filling up seems to mean that if we don't bear fruit we could be worldly and correcting would mean getting our branches off the earth.  If there is fruit then pruning is what is needed.  Then there are two terms, which Jesus used and that is more fruit and much fruit.  More fruit may be more normal and much fruit better but it comes from abiding in Jesus the Vine.
This is what Jesus is seeking to get across to us in these eleven verses.  Are you a more  fruit Christian or a much fruit Christian?
