In this starting verse these religious men called Jesus a sinner. This to me as a redeemed sinner was the height of blasphemy.  Paul a former Pharisee said that He knew no sin.  2 Corinthians 5:21  All the young man could say, "I once was blind but now I can see."  He was recognizing that there was power in Jesus.  His faith in Jesus was building up even if he never saw Him since he could see.
The unbelieving Pharisees tried to persuade him there was nothing to Jesus but his faith was building more. What I find interesting when he asks them why they are so interested.  He says do you also want to be His disciples.  I would like to have this young man around me helping me.  He could not be deterred.  I wish more of today's Christians had this kind of zeal. If the church had it something would be done.  He stuck with it so much that they threw him out of the Synagogue.
I am asking anyone who is a Christian, "If this man could be stopped, then if we who have almost perfect freedom do not do it who will?  What is Jesus to you?"
