1.  Obligation not option – we are debtors to the Spirit who regenerated us but we owe nothing to the law that only condemned us.
2.  Inward not outward – the spirit empowered life is based on the internal witness of the Spirit and our desire to allow Him to control us.
3.  By faith not sight – Because we live in a sin cursed world and a sin cursed body we follow the Spirit by faith (convicted that His way is truly pleasing to God and will be counted such when we see Christ.
