Malachi 3:7-15
God begins these verses with, “Return unto me and I will return unto you.” We are so impoverished because we stay so far away from God. God accuses them of robbing Him because they have withheld their tithes and offerings. He promises them that He will open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing, and that there will not be room for it. I do believe it is because of the unfaithlulness of Israel many of these things happened to her, but that will not be forever. They even made the claim that it was vain to serve God. Believe me this is never vain even in times of persecution. Jesus said, ” I come quickly and my reward is with me.” I will serve Him until I die. There is never a time when we can call the proud happy or workers of wickedness delivered.
I close with the next verse where they who fear God speak one to another. God hears and says, “They are mine. They will be jewels in my crown.” That is where I want to be. We don’t fear God for nothing. Keep talking about Him, that is Jesus Christ.
