What I see in Bartimaeus was a blind beggar who had no control of what he was until Jesus came by. I was blind in a spiritual way. If I was blind physically I could not have done the sinning that I did. Bartimaeus began to cry out when Jesus came by. Even though he could not see he recognized that somehow Jesus could help him. Some tried to make him be quiet, but they could not shut him up. He cried until Jesus heard him. Whoever you are don't stop crying out until Jesus hears you and you come to Him. Jesus said to him, "What do you want?" As if Jesus didn't know. Jesus is interested in you. I thank God He was there when I needed Him. Bartimaeus said, "Lord that I may receive my sight." Jesus said, "Go thy way, thy faith has made thee whole." What did he do when he recieved his sight? He followed Jesus in the way.
