Proverbs 5:1-14
The book of Proverbs seems to refer to two women in a typical way. They are wisdom and folly. The good woman, Wisdom teaches in the way of true understanding while Folly seems to be presenting more against right understanding always pushing toward destruction rather than Heaven. Folly is called in verse 2 a strange woman. I hope I am clear enough on this way of wisdom and understanding.
Now the question is put to you. Is your path the path of wisdom and understanding or are you listening to the voice of this strange woman called Folly.
The rest of our verses seem to give a warning to the way that we take. In another Proverb which I don’t know where it is now, it says this, “There is a way that seems right to a man but the ends thereof is the ways of death.”
We (I) must always try to be on the right road because it is easy to slip off the path.
