This psalmist begins the psalm with the word because.  Then he says, "He heard my voice and my supplications and He inclined His ear to me." Again he says, "I will call upon Him as long as I live." This is a noble thought.
Verse 12 says, "What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me." He just says I will take the cup of salvation and call upon His name." There is also the thought of paying his vows. An interesting thought.  Am I where this man was?  Have I vowed anything?
Verse 15 is a beautiful thought for it says, "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints." We Christians are God's sanctified ones (saints) and at 84 years old I am nearer than ever before.  Am I ready if He calls?
Psalm 117 is a very short psalm and not Jewish in nature.  He (the psalmist) says that Gentiles are to praise Him.  It is because of Christ and the salvation we value so much.  His truth endures forever.
