Psalms 138:1-8
I will praise thee with my whole heart. I don’t want to be half hearted. If so half of my heart will be somewhere else. In those days praying toward the temple signified where God was. God is the One who answers when we cry out in great need.
The last verses speak of God who hears and protects. Of course we who are Christians in these times can face much persecution and are not always protected in our generation. However, I look to Him in all my ways as others do in all the world today. He is the same God. He doesn’t change.
