Show Sacrificial Love! – 1 Corinthians 9:1-10
Paul uses his own case as an example of putting others ahead of ourselves. Paul wants the church at Corinth to consider his rights to respect, material things, pleasure, etc. These rights were based on several arguments.
1. Their Experience – God’s work in their life through Paul
2. Common Sense – The person who labors is worthy of the fruit of his labor
3. The Law – Do not muzzle the ox (Moses)
Although Paul was entitled to these rights threefold, he willingly had laid them aside for the benefit of the Corinthians. Look for ways to lay aside my rights to show sacrificial love for others.
